Founded in 1964 the AA has become a world leading authority on arboricultural best practice and delivers professional standards and guidance ensuring responsible management of the trees in our care.
The Association runs a register of approved tree work companies who consistently demonstrate the highest arboricultural workmanship and health and safety. John Handy became a member of the Association around 1986, a Professional member in 2005 with JPH Forestry attaining the coveted Approved Contractor status in 2009.
The Confederation of Forest Industries morphed out of the old Association of Professional Foresters (APF) and is a members organisation promoting forestry and the use of wood, covering the whole supply chain from tree nurseries through owners, agents, contractors to sawmills to buyers. Member since 1986.
TrustMark is a ‘not-for-profit’ organisation, licensed by Government and supported by consumer groups to operate a framework of reputable and trustworthy trades companies providing quality workmanship.
Unlike other trades’ schemes TrustMark selects its companies through regular audits of the quality of the service they provide, not just by paying an annual subscription. Selected in 2014
The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) is the fastest growing health and safety umbrella group. It coordinates and harmonises health and safety standards across different sectors of industry. Approved 2015.
