Woodland management

Deciduous-woodlandWoodland-mamagementThe normal starting point would be an assessment of the woodland followed by a management plan. This is likely to be done under DEFRA’s Countryside Stewardship and in close conjunction with the Forestry Commission.

Managing a woodland is very seldom for profit; it is more often about getting a wood into good heart for shooting, conservation or just family enjoyment. We advise on the appropriate work, budgeting and marketing as well as planning, felling licences and planting schemes and aftercare.
